 Make. Wood, metal, cloth, repair, small fabrication. Bench time above allotment is scarce and posted. Apprenticeship is asked for, never assigned as make-work. A master’s name thins if the holder is no longer on the floor 

 Vow. Season, year, cohort. Night watch on the plant, a craft kept from dying, a discipline freely taken. At term the vow ends in public. Renewal is an act, not inertia. An order may be hard. It may not keep your papers. 

 Regard. Crews, rooms, editorial circles, night canons. Status is allowed to be real and required to be local. A scene that becomes the only gate to being seen is broken and replanted. 

 First presence. Field parties, archive dives, habitat sorties, first-use in new domains. Slots by open contest and standing that is already aging. Those who went keep the story until someone goes again. 

 Orient. Plural by rule. Feast, silence, memorial, liturgy. They may ask for a rule of life. They may not ask for compute rights, children’s claims, or the door. The compact is not a church. The churches live in the yard and do not own it. 

 Body. Strength, fight, dance, endurance, the long work of coming back from injury. Competence is dated. Last season’s champion is welcome on the floor and owns no keys. 

 Find out. Benches, instruments, extra compute above the birthright allotment. What becomes productive capital feeds the Trust and its residual, not a closed line. Priority in a new domain is an expedition question. Discovery honors rot on a clock. 

 Witness. Rooms where excellence must happen in front of people who could have stayed home. Residencies end. Canons rotate. Applause is not a pension.
